Friederike volg ik al een tijdje met veel plezier op Instagram. Onze dochters zijn even oud en Friederike is net als ik dol op interieurstyling. Met bijna 30K volgers op Instagram kun je wel stellen dat zij best een bekende Instagrammer is! Omdat mijn Duits niet optimaal is en zij geen Nederlands spreekt, volgen de vragen en antwoorden in het Engels.

#1 How long are you actively using Instagram and what was your first post?

I use Instagram since 30. April 2016 – from this day on I try to post a picture every day. My first post was a little corner in our livingroom with a bedside table and a lot of vases and pictures on it. At that time I used a special filter for the pictures but meanwhile I don’t like it anymore.

#2 What do you use to take and edit your photos?

I only use my Iphone SE and the Instagram App to brighten the picture – that’s all.

#3 Which accounts and hashtags do you like to follow?

I only follow accounts, no hashtags. I like accounts which show the Scandinavian Style, the colours black and white or the accounts with kidsroom inspo.

#4 Do you have a strategy for posting on Instagram (frequency of posting, what colours you use, etc.)

My only strategy is the time – either in the morning or in the evening. But: Since the baby is born last year in June I have less time and post temporarily in the evening.

#5 Which Instagram tool is your favorite and why?

I don’t use any tools except the possibility to brighten the picture – I like it more if the pictures aren’t too dark.

#6 What good thing(s) has Instagram brought you?

I like the exchange with people who love interior also and everything around it and some of them I met in real life. And I can save money: I need less interior magazines, because I find enough inspiration on Instagram 🙂 And another good thing is, that some companies provide me things like furniture, blankets or other nice things which fit into my concept.

#7 Which Instagram photo are you most proud of?

The photo with the scan of our little girl which I posted on the 9th Februrary 2017. I was so in love …

#8 Which Instagram story has a funny story behind it?

The funniest stories behind are those, when I crawl on furnitures or something else to put the best shot.

#9 Do you have some Instagram advice you would like to share?

Be authentic!

#10 Which Instagrammer would you like to see in this column?

Wunderblumen, aplaceforus, svenja_traumzuhause, friloconcept, villka_hilka and karlas_view. I can’t only mention one Instagrammer.
